Say Lou Lou - Julian (The Chainsmokers Remix)

I think it's safe to assume everyone is on summer break now, so to officially kick off these 3 months, we come to you with what will be our summer anthem. They released this track in the midst of all the hype of Random Access Memories, but they made the right move, because the sooner we had out mits on this track, the better. Sweet vocals, poppy synths, and an addictive hook that will have you singing along and bobbing your head (if not, it's time to seriously reevaluate what you've been doing with your life).  Their mission was "to make music that is a beautiful blend of Pop, Indie and Progressive, which isn't always possible." Cheers to The Chainsmokers for doing just that. There really aren't enough good things to say about this track. The light vocals and the modulation of such is something to behold as every aspect of this track has been micromanaged. It is an perfectly balanced between simplicity and complexity. The themselves summed up why they did this when saying they "immediately fell in love with their haunting vocals and cool vibes, like Nervo meets Tegan and Sarah, but we felt, underneath the grungy yet sexy vocals there was room for a really beautiful uptempo Indie Progressive song." There is so much going on in so little, which is what makes this an absolutely wonderful track. Plus it's a FREE download. Enjoy.

P.S. Smoking is bad, but in this case it's good.
